Las Mesetas is a 5,821.8 acres ranch,108 km. NE of Los Angeles City. The location of Las Mesetas property is Cordillera Las Catalinas sector, Tucapel Commune, Bio-Bío Province, VIII Region of Chile. According to a bank valuation, dated June 2003, the value of the property corresponds 5% to the land and 95% to the commercial forest.

The eastern limit of Las Mesetas is "El Esquinero" milestone, on a projected road, in Las Catalinas Mountains (UTM 277400 E - 5882300 N or 37º10'45''S 71º30'26''W). It limits to the West, North and South with private proprietors.

The property has no constructions on it.

The access is:
- by paved road from Los Angeles to Atuco, 61 km,
 - by paved road from Antuco, to the gravel road to Rayenco, at Los Canelos sector, 11 Km,
- To the North, by gravel road, 2 Km. to the check point, going to Rayenco
- by paved road, ENDESA, 7 km,
- by gravel road, 6km. until reaching Polcura Bridge, Blanco spring (estero), crossing the private entrance to "Los Ciervos" Ranch,
- by vicinal road to "La Lana" spring (estero), 6 Km. going along Polcura River,
- circa 15 Km. walking or riding by path not usable by vehicles to the eastern limit of the property.

           In Chile, part of the native forest is protected and can’t be exploited, that is the case with larch and the natural forest at gorges and ravines. The government approved a handling plan for 858 acres as commercial native forest (Coigüe y Lenga). You can not cut native forest without a handling plan.
